Over 20 years ago Stanion Preschool was taken over by Emma-Jayne and Suzanne, when it was originally in the the local village hall. After lots of hard work, fundraising and suppport from friends and family, preschool was able to relocate to our own seperate unit situated on Stanion C of E Primary school grounds.
Emma-Jayne and Suzanne continued to work at Stanion Preschool until 2023 but still play a huge part in the setting today, with Emma-Jayne now being our Nominated Person, Designated Trustee for Safeguarding and Suzanne still offering her helping hand and ideas with the creative elements of the setting.
Our Staff now include, our Manager Claire Sanders. Claire has been working for Stanion Preschool for 10 years. Claire first started coming to preschool as a parent with her first born. Claire then started volunteering when her second born started attending the preschool, whilst also studying for her Level 3 Diploma in Early Years. Claire has been working her way up through the years to now being the manager.
Our Deputy Manager is Eiren Haggarty, who has been working here for 5 years now. Eiren first started Stanion Preschool as a child herself where Emma-Jayne and Suzanne were her pre-school teachers. Eiren then came back to work here as an apprentice whilst studying for her Level 3 Diploma in Early Years and has worked her way up to now being the Deputy.
Our other staff members include Chloe and Carol. Chloe began volunteering with us in 2023 while she studied for her Level 2 Early Years Practitioner. After completing her Level 2 quailifiation, she has now started working with us as an apprentice whilst she studies for her level 3. Carol whose children both attended pre school, has worked at the setting for 18 years as an Early Years assistant.
Alison has also worked here for over 20 years as a trustee and treasurer for the business. Not only this, but Alison has also become our designated preschool gardener. Alison has recently been hard at work adding our new vegetable patch, Dinosaur Garden and Bug Hotel.
